Amanda Ashby tells us about how she turned the sad loss of her father into a moment of inspiration and how she manages to juggle a full life in New Zealand with a writing career based in the states. Listen here!

Synopsis:

Holly Evans has just seen her body laid to rest. Now she would like to move onto the afterlife. But apparently she has some mortal baggage to unload first, starting with the matter of how she died. Her heavenly shrink isn't buying that she didn't kill herself and says she must return to earth to straighten things out. The thing is, she needs to borrow the body of computer geek Vince Murphy to do it. Oh, and although Vince was supposed to have vacated the premise, he apparently never got the memo.

Now, Holly has forty-eight hours to resolve her issues while sharing arms, legs, and...other things...with a guy she barely noticed while she was alive. But the real surprise is what life has to offer when you have only two days to live it.

About the Author:

Amanda Ashby was born in Australia and studied English and journalism at Queensland University. Since graduation, she has worked in sales, marketing and travel before discovering that she was no good at any of them and so decided to turn her attention to writing instead. I know that this is probably a bit late but I have been late in my sign up and catching up with all the podcast interviews. I listened to the interview and I knew I had to read this novel no matter what. Amanda souns so wonderful and I'm also anxiously waiting to hear more about her second novel Zombie Queen of Newberry High.

I bought a copy of You Had Me at Halo online and it should be coming in the mail next week. I can't wait to read it! To bad I didn't sign up to win in time because a signed copy would have been wonderful.
